Multivariate Analysis for Irrigation with Reclaimed Chlorinated Water

Gray water requires less filtration than black water, due to significantly fewer particles and organic material. This smaller requirement makes gray water much easier to reclaim. Chlorination has been shown to be the most efficient disinfection method for reclaimed water applications in irrigation. Using four factors — total organic content, turbidity, detergent concentration, and bacterial concentration — a regression model will be constructed to predict the amount of chlorine required to filter gray water to a point where it can be reused in agricultural, among other purposes. This model will form a basis for cost estimation for anyone looking to reclaim water.
