The fruit and vegetable sector plays a significant role in farm income enhancement, and sustainable agriculture globally. Unfortunately, this sector usually goes through post-harvest losses. Visual inspection of the fruits and vegetables using the human eyes has been the usual method of inspection of fruitful on a commercial scale. However, this method for fruit quality analysis is prone to human error. Most spectrometers are complex, very expensive and require personal computers to run which is a barrier for people who want to use these spectrometers at their comfort. The spectrometer can be operated independently using Bluetooth communication.
