Development of a Solar Powered Ground-Based Research Vehicle with an On-board Solar Management System

The main focus of this research project is to build a hybrid solar powered ground vehicle (HSPGV) with an on-board solar energy management system. The intent is to optimize the power supplied from an array of solar photo-voltaic (PV) panels, with rechargeable batteries as a backup power source. This research project will institute basic algorithms to provide optimization of power usage. This project will lay a foundation for future research in solar powered electronics.
