Transcranial doppler can be used to detect seizure and stroke during cardiac surgery. There is currently no feasible transcranial doppler headset for use on pediatric patients in the operating room. The Cranial Crown allows for high adjustability in doppler probe placement while reducing the risk of pressure sores. The quick placement and removal of the headset allow doctors to attend to patient needs without worry of the device getting in the way. Future prototyping of the Cranial Crown may result in usage in hospitals across the country.
